Short Bio

Hi! I’m Jun Dai, an incoming Ph.D student of University of Rochester. Now I am doing my gap year in Shanghai AI Lab working with Prof. Tianfan Xue, Porf. Jinwei Gu, Dr. Shi Guo and all amzing people in OpenImaging Lab, focusing on Computer Vision and Computational Photography/Imaging. Before that I am fortunated to be supervised by Prof. Yiyi Liao, woking for Text/Image-to-3D. My main research interests focuses on the 1. 3D Vision, ultimate goal is reconstructing a more realistic virtual world; 2. Computational Photography, make “fake” images more “real” by computational methods like captured by daily-life cameras; 3. Computational Imaging / Optics, co-design imaging systems for better vision and make invisible visible. In the future, I am eager to pursue a Ph.D. degree for building Metaverse, for that I may focus on 3D Reconstruction/Generation/Percetion…

Generally, I’m passionate about Meaningful Vision Problems, if you want to talk with me, don’t hesitate to shot me an email!
